像這樣的電錶陣, 較新的樓宇都不會再見到了.

By the way, a district where I feel close to is going to be 're-developed'. I never thought that this same thing could happen to me. For a while when I was small, I lived in Shau Kei Wan with my grandparents, uncle and aunts, before I moved to Shatin. Now, I still pass by SKW all the time (at least every week) and I see that one old building where I visited a lot (for the restaurents and tea house there) is going to be knocked down, I feel SO SO bad! For Wan Chai, not having a strong bond, I feel ashamed for HK, and feel sad for the residents there. But now, for SKW, I feel so bad that what I have been familiar with is going to disappear totally very soon. The cheap but tasty noodles, nice, old fashioned tea house, the neighbourhood...... Everything will be gone. I really can't accept that, emotionally, as well as sensibly. What is our 'GREAT' government doing? Wan Chai, then Sham Shui Po & Kwun Tong, now SKW, what's next? Are we trapped in a cycle of non-stop 're-building' every single district? So, the new buildings will anyway be torn down in twenty years' time? I can understand that from the poing of view of 'money', just...... |
